Badly prepared to step onto the field, and to say the least, Konami’s latest soccer game awaits a passage of the magic sponge. But now the developers still need some time.
As an excuse for the failed eFootball start, Konami had announced a major update for the end of October. Version 0.9.1 was even entitled to a specific release date: 28th of October
Thank you for playing eFootball 2022. We would like to inform all users that we have decided to postpone the release of version 0.9.1 to the beginning of November.
We sincerely apologize for the delay and inconvenience. We hope that the extra time we need will allow us to provide an improved experience for all of our users.
We will announce the date and details of the fixes as soon as they are confirmed. In the meantime, we will continue to work on improving the game and look forward to working with you on eFootball ™ 2022.
Thank you for your patience.

The way will be long
Dumped into the deep end as a demo while waiting for a more complete version to be released this fall, eFootball has sparked the ire of fans in its 2022 edition. Everything from the animations to the AI, with the icing on the cake of a deplorable finish, required repairs. We invite you to read the very salty impressions of ours at Alix. The trowels, it’ll be at least in 10 days. And let’s hope the changes we made raise hope for the free-to-play multiplatform game released on September 30th.
