Fear of the open world
We want to warn you that this map obviously spoils all areas of the game, as well as the overall size of the world of Elden Ring.
You just started Elden Ring. It’s quite a long game and above all very extensive. And that can seem very difficult if you’re not used to playing games from From Software. But unlike other souls, if you get stuck on a boss, you can just…go to another area and see if the grass is greener there.
However, for those who are not necessarily used to open games or simply want to optimize their playing time, a certain one HexTheHardcoreCasual on Reddit has provided a very handy world map that tells you the order in which you need to complete the areas of the game.
The map that classifies the zones
Here is the card in question, which you can also find on Reddit. The purpose of this one, as the author states, is to give you the order in which you must complete the areas, all based on the difficulty and the rewards within. This prevents you from starting areas with a level that is too low on the one hand, but also starting others with a level that is much too high on the other.
On this map, the blue arrows indicate the ideal route, while the numbers must be followed in order. It’s a great move, especially for new players who might be afraid of getting lost in the vast open world of Elden Ring.
You can of course play the game in the order you want, this list doesn’t necessarily make the game easier, we think it rather allows you to have the perfect level for each of the zones, which doesn’t necessarily make the game easier.
