It should be noted that this quest, in particular, allows you to recover an object that will allow you to access one of the alternate endings of Elden Ring!

Then, to advance in the quest, you must advance the D (even if you missed the first few steps, it doesn’t matter). To do this, kill a Another Diaphane (it doesn’t matter which) to get a Death Flower and give at least one to Gurranq in the Beast Sanctuary.

The NPC D then appears at the mercy table (if you haven’t already seen it) after giving at least 1 death flower. Once you get to the Altus Plateau (if you haven’t already), Fia will give you a dagger to give to someone: it’s D (remember to exhaust his dialogues by talking to him multiple times) . When you return to the Table of Mercy, you’ll find D dead with his armor in the room next to the blacksmith.

Then go back to argue with Fia and she will exit the mercy table. Now you have to do almost all Ranni related quests to get this Cursed sign of death. It is not necessary to complete it, but you must at least complete the Liurnia Divine Tower to find the mark.
