Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware announce co-developed action role-playing game, elder ringhas shipped more than 20 million units worldwide.
Released on February 25, 2022, Elden Ring is a critically acclaimed and publically acclaimed game, winning various awards throughout the year and being one of the best-selling games of the year in the US and overseas.
In the U.S. alone, by June 2022, it was the best-selling game of 2022 so far, and had the No. 1 spot in dollar sales for four of its first five months.
It remains so until December 2022, when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 becomes the bestseller of the year.
Elden Ring was just one of iGamesNews’s best games of the year, and it topped other year-end critics’ lists as well.
