Despite recent delays, Eldon Ring It is closer than ever. Thanks to some new specification details, we know exactly what the game’s performance and resolution will bring on all platforms.
Publisher Bandai Namco shared some new information about Elden Ring’s visual and performance goals on all platforms on its support website. First, the page confirms that Elden Ring will receive ray tracing support through a patch at some point.
This is the first time we have heard this news, and it is not clear how to use ray tracing. However, PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X will support this feature.
personal computer
On PC, Elden Ring will support resolutions up to full 4K (3840x2160p) and frame rates up to 60fps. The frame rate limit is a bit disappointing, but there is nothing special about the studio’s games on PC. Usually, Modder will quickly bypass these restrictions.
In addition, you can expect HDR and ray tracing support on PC.
Game console
On PS4 and PS4 Pro, the game will run at 30fps. PS4 uses the standard 1080p resolution, while PS4 Pro has a clearer 1800P (via checkerboard). PS5 provides two independent modes, one gives priority to resolution and the other gives priority to performance. As you might expect, the latter’s target is 60fps, while the former’s target is 30fps.
PS5 runs at speeds up to 3840x2160p in both modes. All PlayStation consoles support HDR, but ray tracing is limited to PS5-it can be used in a patch.
Xbox
The dividing line on Xbox is wider. Both Xbox One and One X are locked at 30fps, but the former runs at 900p and the latter runs at 4K. Two new game consoles: Xbox Series X and Series S will provide 60fps performance mode.
As expected, the rendering resolution of the S series is lower at 1440p compared to the 4K of the X series. The X series is also the only Xbox console that supports ray tracing when it arrives. Except for the basic Xbox One, all devices support HDR.
Elden Ring will be released on February 25, and a network test is planned next week.
