“Shadow of the Erdtree” is a big DLC for the successful title Elden Ring – but what happens next? From Software has now commented on this.

From Software, in the person of Hidetaka Miyazaki, has now answered this question – and unfortunately for the many fans of the game, there will be no more content for Elden Ring after “Shadow of the Erdtree”. The epic, originally published in 2022, is actually finished in terms of content.
Miyazaki confirmed in an interview that “Shadow of the Erdtree” will remain the only expansion for the open-world RPG Campfire Camp. This also confirmed a suspicion of many fans, after all, in most previous cases From Software rarely released more than one large DLC. You can now finally put to rest any hopes that things could be different with Elden Ring due to the title’s huge popularity.
Another fact that underlines the fact that there probably won’t be a second DLC is the long development time for “Shadow of the Erdtree”. From Software took so much time with the good piece and apparently designed it so extensively that it was difficult to imagine that the team would undertake this journey a second time. After all, the DLC release is ultimately over two years after the release of the main game.
