Mods can make old games shine with fancier graphics. They add new quests and story content, change the difficulty level, bring forgotten games back to life or, as in the case of Warcraft 3: Re-Reforged, even fix everything that the original developers screwed up. But sometimes mods are just that big, silly nonsense.

What the Thomas meme is all about
The children’s series character Thomas the little engine has been popping up in video games for a few years where he doesn’t belong at all – as a dragon, boss monster or horror character.
It all started with an appearance in Bethesda’s open-world role-playing game, Skyrim. Then, adventurous players could fight the merry train in Fallout 4 instead of vertibird helicopters or deathclaws.
Combined with the spooky atmosphere of the Resident Evil remakes, Thomas the Tank Engine enjoyed another surge in popularity until the locomotive model finally appe ared in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
Because many PC games allow graphics to be swapped out without the need for complex modding tools, resourceful modders are increasingly finding a way to put the friendly, wide-eyed engine in places where it shouldn’t be. So now Elden Ring: YouTuber Garden of Eyes has released a video in which Thomas takes on the role of a dragon and breathes fire, while always keeping a friendly smile for the player. The result is disturbing:

Thomas, the little locomotive, adopts all the behavior of the original model, but clearly has a hard time climbing up the walls with his broad rear end. The original music of the series is played to set the right mood.
Where can you download the mod?
All Thomas fans must be very strong now: the mod for Elden Ring has not yet been released to the general public, there is no download link or information on whether all players of the action role-playing game will soon be able to enjoy this new boss enemy will come.
