Game news Elden Ring: The game’s creator reveals his favorite boss… and you might have missed it!
Hidetaka Mizayaki reveals who his favorite boss in Elden Ring is… And it’s a boss you might not have fought even after completing the game!
Asked by Xbox Wire, creator of Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Elden Ring, Hidetaka Miyazaki has betrayed his favorite bosses in the latest game from From Software.
Elden Ring exceeded From Software and Bandai Namco’s expectations
Elden Ring was a phenomenal success for From Software and its director Hidetaka Miyazaki. While Bandai Namco was looking at around four million copies sold, Elden Ring broke up Triple the forecast and surpass 13 million sales. A record for the studio that surprised everyone, even the game’s creator himself. In an interview for Xbox Wire Japan, he explains that he was happy but surprised by the success of the title. Above all, he is proud to have managed to combine the sense of reward and achievement already present in previous games, a true sense of freedom and adventure that they may have been missing. So Elden Ring is a success, but remains a challenge for many players. Without being the most difficult game from From Software, it presents itself particularly difficult fights. And it is precisely on this subject that Xbox Wire has allowed us to learn more about the taste of Miyazaki…
Hidetaka Miyazaki’s three favorite bosses
Indeed while explaining how The map is designed after the boss’s gameplay, which is then readjusted according to its environmentXbox Wire asks Miyazaki an intriguing question:
Who is your favorite boss in Elden Ring?
It’s hard to choose, but I’d say it’s General Radahn. He’s an intriguing character and I like the whole setting around the Radahn Festival too. I think that’s where we find those feelings of loneliness that are specific to everyone, mixed with celebration and exuberance. I remember when I first mentioned the idea of Radhan Festival, nobody in the team really took me seriously, I miss it! (laughs)
My other two favorite bosses are Godrick and Rykard.
Radahn is a difficult boss to beat, not so much for the mechanics to master to beat it, which is pretty easy, but because it’s very powerful. The demigod capable of it control gravity so much so that he stopped the stars is one of the very formidable bosses in the game. Note that you can complete Elden Ring without having fought Radahn, since it is possible to tweak its route and eventually fight some bosses to complete the game compared to what the scope of the game might suggest to a player who just started it. But as so often If you only do the bare minimum, you’ll miss out on a lot of the content the most exciting of Elden Ring. We can only invite you to explore the game and especially try to undo it the three favorite bosses of the game’s creator: Radahn, Godrick and Rykard.
