A mod that allows up to four players to engage in cooperative fun Eldon Ring It will enter public beta later this week.
While Elden Ring already supports three-player co-op to some extent, this mod allows each player to stay with the others for as long as they like.
Since the mod uses a separate launcher to run the game without launching Easy Anti-Cheat, you don’t have to worry about getting banned because it’s not connected to a matchmaking server. This means it doesn’t use FromSoftware’s online services, so you won’t be banned for using it.
The way it works is that you can invite one host and up to three other hosts. Progress is shared between players, but only for actions in the player’s world. So, for example, if you start a new character and join a player who kills a game over boss, only that boss in your world will die. You do not inherit all the progress other players made before you joined.
With items, these are unique to each player, so say a boss drops an amulet bag and everyone gets it. This applies to all enemy drops and items found while roaming around the world.
No invasions, but you can use items to switch friendly fire modes in PvP with your party members.
For campfires, each player resets if one player is sitting in an elegant place. If the player is fighting a non-open world boss at this time, they will be put back outside the fog wall and the battle will be reset.
If you have other mods installed, they will still work, but only other players who have the same mod installed will be able to see them.
Mod link created by YouTuber Luke Yuiwill go live on Friday, May 27th, so keep an eye out for an update here and you’ll be able to get it from Nexus Mods.
