The Witcher was a huge hit for Netflix. The first season proved that games can work as a series too. So it’s no wonder that several similar projects are currently being developed, for example a Fallout series for Amazon Prime. And the second big Bethesda franchise is also supposed to be filmed: According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, an Elder Scrolls series is in the works at Netflix.
Where did the rumor come from?
What kind of series should it be? According to Richtman, the Elder Scrolls series should be based on the effort and size of the record series The Witcher. That could mean that there are also several seasons – but of course nothing is known about the scope.
When should the series appear? So far there is no information, not even unconfirmed. Since the series is said to be “in development” at the moment, the project is probably still in a very early stage and will probably not appear for a few years at the earliest. Will Elder Scrolls 6 be released before then? First of all, there is an important problem to be solved, says editor Géraldine:

What should it be about? Richtman did not comment on this. It is also possible that the exact setting has not yet been determined once the concept phase has just begun. The Elder Scrolls universe definitely offers many exciting epochs and stories that can be implemented as a series, after all, the official lore spans several millennia and an entire continent.
