WITHenimax Online have revealed new details about the graphical improvements coming to Xbox Series X|S and Playstation 5 console enhanced versions of The Elder Scrolls Online.
Elder Scrolls Online Console Enhanced Edition New Details Announced
The Elder Scrolls Online: Waking Flame will be arriving at the end of August, along with it will come a number of graphical improvements for Xbox Series X|S and Playstation 5 players.
These improvements include the addition of enabling dynamic resolution scaling for performance mode on new generation consoles. For Series X and PS5 the dynamic resolution will scale between 1080p and 2160p (4K), while on Series S it will scale between 1080p and 1440p. This means players on Series X can expect to run at or close to 4K at 60 fps in performance for most situations. However by dropping to 1080p this will prevent dropped frames in high-intensity situations such as Cyrodiil battles as well as certain trial and dungeon boss fights.
A new HDR mode will be introduced for consoles, which will provide a new hue preserving HDR mode with the coming Waking Flame DLC. Players will be able to choose between the current and new HDR mode Default and the current HDR mode which will be under Vibrant.
A Multithreaded Rendering Beta for PC will be available which will bring the improvements made on consoles to PC with an opt-in beta setting. This setting will hopefully improve the frame rate for those who are CPU limited.
Previously Zenimax released details of what’s coming with the free update 31 which includes new sets, changes to companions and more.
