The Twitter soap opera ends with an official statement from Elon Musk explaining the reasons for buying the blue bird. It is meant to “help humanity”.
Tesla boss Elon Musk won’t look back on Twitter takeover. He sent a message to clarify things.
Elon Musk is buying Twitter to help the whole planet
Elon Musk won’t change his mind and is in the process of completing his takeover of Twitter. While waiting to finish the paperwork, he posted a very lengthy tweet to justify himself. So why spend around $44 billion on this acquisition? “For the Future of Mankind”
I wanted to speak to you personally to share my reasons for acquiring Twitter. There has been a lot of speculation about why I bought Twitter and what I think of advertising. Most of them are fake.
The reason I bought Twitter is that it is important to the future of civilization to have a shared digital public space where a wide range of beliefs can be discussed in a healthy way without resorting to violence. There is currently a great danger that social networks will split into right-wing extremist and left-wing extremist echo chambers, which will generate even more hatred and divide our society.
In its relentless pursuit of clicks, most mainstream media has nurtured and nurtured these polarized extremes, believing they make money from it but losing the opportunity for dialogue in the process.
That’s why I bought Twitter. I didn’t do it because it was easy or to make more money. I did it to try and help the people I love. And I do so with humility, recognizing that despite our best efforts, failure to achieve this goal is a very real possibility.
However, it is obvious that Twitter cannot become a hell zone where anything can be said without consequences! Our platform must not only respect the laws of the country, but also be warm and welcoming for everyone, where you can choose the experience you want according to your preferences, such as watching movies or playing video games, from any age to maturity.

It is surprising to see his speech to the extreme right thinking about rehabilitating Donald Trump’s account as soon as possible. The former President of the United States is known, among other things, for his misogynistic and racist outings. During his tenure, the billionaire mobilized his far-right sympathizers to attack the Capitol.
Has Elon Musk changed his mind on this point too? Will he clean the social network of nauseous comments?
Redundancies? Fake News!
According to Elon Musk, the rumor about the dismissal of 75% of the social network’s employees is false. According to the Washington Post, the head of SpaceX still wants to lay off a large number of employees, a quarter by the end of 2023.
