SEGA and Amplitude Studios actually wanted to finally release Endless Dungeon in May, but nothing will come of it in the short term. The release date has to be noticeably postponed again.
In about a month, namely on May 18, 2023, Endless Dungeon for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S should be released, but now there is another severe setback. This deadline cannot be met; instead, SEGA and Amplitude Studios now communicated a noticeable shift.
The above game versions of Endless Dungeon will therefore be waiting for a whole five months. October 19, 2023 was announced as the new date. Only the switch implementation of the game, which is also planned, has no date yet; it will be announced at a later date.
Due to the postponement, players who pre-ordered the title may be eligible for a refund as per their respective platform policies. The early access for early decision-makers has also been postponed accordingly and is now valid from October 17th.
The reason given for the postponement is that the additional time should allow Amplitude to take more account of and properly acknowledge community feedback so that the game can follow in the footsteps of previous titles within the Endless universe. Among other things, optimizations of balancing, meta-progress, the introduction to the game and general fine-tuning are planned.
