Do you need something nice to gamble during times of self-isolation and do you like strategy games? Then we have a message for you: Endless Legend can currently be played on Steam for a whole week free of charge.
The 4X strategy game comes from the developers of Amplitude Studios. They announced in an official steam posting that they are still working hard on their new strategy project Humankind. However, because there is currently no news and they still want to do something good for their fans, they quickly turn Endless Legend into a Free2Play game.
The free promotion is still running until Monday, March 30, at 6 p.m. German time. Until then, you should strike quickly so that you can spend as many hours in the game as possible. Dimi Halley now explains why this can be worthwhile for you in his very personal praises to Endless Legend:

Endless Legend made me fall in love with the round strategy. And yes, I know that Civilization may be the better game overall – but I love fantasy scenarios that are daring! And Endless Legend whistles at every fantasy cliché that I know of its playable races. Instead of noble elves, I play a knight nation in which the inhabitants are literally made of money. Or I slip into the role of the Vaulter nomads, who are the descendants of shipwrecked space explorers (from Dungeon of the Endless). There are corpse eaters, bizarre cultists and so on. In terms of game mechanics, Endless Legend remains true to many 4X traditions – and spins one of the best games of its kind.
