An Xbox controversy has recently erupted around the Soulslike Enotria, which is why the game will not be released for the Microsoft console for the time being. But now things are finally moving!
Enotria: The Last Song is a rather unknown but still somewhat promising new Soulslike that will try to convince players from September 19, 2024. However, this will initially only be the case on the PC and PlayStation 5, as the Xbox version recently had to be postponed indefinitely following a controversy.
According to developer Jyamma Games, the trigger was the fact that Microsoft and the Xbox team apparently played dead for two months and did not respond to the team’s requests and problems. However, a few things still had to be clarified in order to be able to achieve an Xbox release.
A few days ago, Jyamma Games went public to confirm the delay and pointed to the Xbox team as the culprit – and that had an effect. In the meantime, the console manufacturer has contacted the Italian developer studio after the public criticism.
Jyamma Games has now spoken out again via X and Twitter and thanked Xbox boss Phil Spencer and his team for getting in touch. In the meantime, the Xbox team is also helping to solve the remaining problems; they are working on bringing Enotria to the Xbox Series X/S as soon as possible. However, no specific Xbox date was initially given.
