The MEGA Sale 2023 has started in the Epic Games Store and is once again enticing with all sorts of discounts on numerous more current titles. In line with this, Epic Games is also launching a brand new rewards program.
We already reported today that you can currently get the Hideo Kojima hit Death Stranding for the PC free of charge in the Epic Games Store. Detached from this, the MEGA Sale 2023 has also started, which offers discounts of up to 75 percent on the regular prices for a large number of titles. In addition, the Epic Coupon is also back with further discounts of 25 percent on qualifying games.
Epic Games is also combining the starting signal for the MEGA sale with a brand new reward system in the store. With every qualifying purchase from a Steam competitor, you can receive a 5% refund of the purchase price as a reward and then use the credit again for further purchases.
The new Epic rewards program is always active in the store and is available to everyone for free with no additional requirements; a separate registration for this is also not necessary. All Epic Games account owners will be enrolled in the Epic Rewards program on their next purchase. The only requirement is to buy games, apps, add-ons or virtual currency from the Epic Games Store – this also applies to V-Bucks. You will then automatically receive 5 percent back as Epic Rewards, which will be given to your 14 days after the associated purchase reward balance
Once you’ve received your Epic Rewards, you can use them on future purchases at checkout to get a discount on Qualifying Purchases, or save them for later. Epic Rewards can also be combined with other price discounts and coupons. However, the credits via the rewards program also have an expiry date: 25 months after the credit, the corresponding credits will be lost if you have not used them.
