It’s that time again: After Epic’s big Christmas campaign ended with the story hit Guardian of the Galaxy, there’s now a new game available for free every Thursday. This time you can expect Sail Forth, a title that is already considered an insider tip on Steam – 93 percent positive reviews are impressive.
For a whole week, until January 18th, anyone interested can secure this maritime adventure at no cost.
Important: At the time of this news, Epic still seems to be having problems providing the free game. On our computers, Sail Forth could only be purchased in the desktop app at the regular price; there is no corresponding entry in the usual free games section.
However, it could be done via the Game Epic product page Add it to your own library for free, which we were able to verify on three different editorial PCs.

Sail Forth takes you into the infinite expanses of a digital ocean. Here you not only command a customizable fleet, but also explore the ancient secrets that lie beneath the surface of the sea. In terms of play, the title presents itself as a mixture of exploration and adventure.
You have to discover islands with unique flora and fauna and befriend a fish people in order to survive together against pirates. The realistic sail and wind system is also a particular challenge.
The game is also characterized by its customization options: various ships can be built, customized and equipped in order to perfectly prepare your own fleet for the numerous tasks. Among other things, there are treasure hunts in sunken wrecks, collecting resources or the hunt for ancient secrets that advance the story.
The game is available for free download from now until January 18, 2024 at 5 p.m.
