Denzel Washington returns to the big screen in his role as Robert McCall in The Equalizer 3. The action-packed trailer shows that the former Defense Intelligence Agency agent has to fight the mafia in Italy this time.
There is already a theatrical release: “The Equalizer” will be released in German cinemas on August 31st. The last “Equalizer” part was released five years ago, which is why viewers are wondering if it will continue after that.
According to American entertainment news magazine ET, Washington has said he has no plans to reprise the role of Robert McCall. For him, the series is finally over after three films, because he didn’t want to turn it into a franchise from the start, but each film project was unique to him.
“This is the end for me. It might not be the end, they might do another one, but for me it’s the end. Never say never, but you never know.”

Washington has made numerous films with “The Equalizer” director Antoine Fuqua, including his award-winning film “Training Day” from 2001. The collaboration between Washington and director Ridley Scott is also confirmed. After the two filmed “American Gangster” in 2007, “Gladiator 2” is to follow soon.
