E3 organizer ESA has confirmed the date of the event next year.
Entertainment Software Association (ESA) announced the date E3 2021.
According to the announcement released overnight with partners, the annual exhibition will be held from June 15 to 17. Like E3 in 2020, organizers are also conducting a "reimagined" exhibition for 2021.
Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus, E3 2020 was cancelled. At the time, ESA said, "We are discussing options with members to coordinate the online experience to showcase the June 2020 industry announcement and news."
After publishers and media expressed a lack of support for this year's event, E3 2020 already looks doubtful. Sony PlayStation once again decided to skip the show. Geoff Keighley announced that he would not make E3 stadiums or participate in events this year. The organizer ’s E3 2020 retail and production partner iam8bit also withdrew from the competition.
In view of the cancellation of the event, companies such as Devolver Digital, Nintendo, Microsoft and Ubisoft said that digital events are planned within the next few months.
