In this week’s edition of our trailer show, we came across three Europe games that draw attention to themselves with stylish videos. Including Neo Berlin 2087, which raises certain expectations with its cyberpunk setting, role-playing elements and modern graphics.
Also included: A bouncer game in the Berlin techno scene and historical detective stories in Frankfurt in the 1950s. Have fun with our trailers of the week!
Here you can also find a few real insider tips on Steam:
Platz 3: The Darkest Files
1:16
In the Europe crime adventure The Darkest Files you solve murder cases – in Frankfurt!
The Europe indie studio Paintbucket Games caused an international stir with the anti-fascist strategy game Through the Darkest of Times. The team is now looking for support for a new project on Kickstarter.
In The Darkest Files You solve historical murder cases that actually happened in Frankfurt in the 1950s. So you interrogate witnesses and suspects, evaluate memories and documents and build a case in court. The trailer shows some of this, which also creates an exciting atmosphere thanks to the artistic style.
2nd place: Neo Berlin 2087
1:02
Neo Berlin 2087: New trailer for the Europe cyberpunk role-playing game shows more of the game world
Neo Berlin 2087 pushes a lot of cyberpunk buttons and thanks to Unreal Engine 5 it also looks really chic. You play as police officer Nolan, who is supposed to solve the murder of the police chief and save his kidnapped daughter.
In Berlin of the cyberpunk era, a new wall was built, which, however, does not divide the city, but rather seals it off. Beneath the neon-lit facade there is a deep gap between social classes, crime is omnipresent and technical achievements shape the cityscape.
You can find out more in our preview of Neo Berlin 2087.
Platz 1: Techno Banter
2:16
In the adventure Techno Banter you work as a bouncer in a neon-flooded metropolis
Also neon-pregnant, but with a much narrower focus: In Techno Banter she mimes a bouncer in an imaginatively dark pixel Berlin. And you can see that in the trailer. You talk to people, mythical creatures and monsters who all want to party in the techno club whose door you are responsible for.
Through a combat system based on dialogue, you decide who is allowed in and who is not. As the developer explains in the atmospheric trailer, you have a role-playing role in deciding how well or badly the party develops.
