Baldur’s Gate 3 just broke a new record. It’s officially one of the most played games on a very popular console. The third work cannot be stopped.
The fact is: Baldur’s Gate 3 is a huge success. The role-playing game is aimed not only at regulars of the genre, but also at newcomers. Most of the players are formal, which is a big highlight. So it is obvious that it has not stolen the title of “Game of the Year 2023” despite the competition that deserves the name. What’s more, we’ve only just come to understand how limitless its popularity is. In fact, we’re told it’s the most played title on a given console.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is the first choice on the Steam Deck
Yes, it’s official, BG3 is the preferred choice for Steam Deck owners. If we know this, it is thanks to Valve that released the 100 most played games on its portable console. Larian Studios’ latest release is at the top of the list, which is a pretty impressive achievement. Of course this needs to be qualified. To reach this peak, the company relied on statistics from March 2023 to March 2024. So it is a sample over a single year. Nevertheless, we have no doubt about the success of the title, which is simply insane.
But then who is keen on Baldur’s Gate 3? In second place we have Vampire Survivors, the roguelike described as addictive by everyone who has dealt with it. They are followed by Dave the Diver, who is equally popular. Unsurprisingly, we then have Hogwarts Legacy, which immerses us in the world of Harry Potter in a breathtaking open world. And finally we have Elden Ring, the game of 2022, whose DLC we are eagerly awaiting in June 2024.
It’s also worth noting that this list doesn’t just include Steam Deck verified games. For example, we find Fallout 4 and Forza Horizon 5 in the list. In addition, we also note the presence of a number of survival-oriented productions. In particular, we have the excellent Terraria, which manages to climb this ranking despite its venerable age.
