Often considered the small-screen equivalent of the Oscars. the Emmys provide a platform to celebrate remarkable talents and productions. This year, many series were in competition, such as “The Bear” on Disney+, “The Boys” on Amazon Prime or even “Mon Petit Renne” and “Bridgerton” on Netflix. Every year, the Emmys are an opportunity to recognize the efforts of television stars and their teams, but also, unofficially, to measure the performance of the SVOD services competing for the awards. This time, Disney dominated the competition.

Disney dominates the competition
The Emmy Awards recognize the outstanding contributions of various broadcast platforms and studios in the television industry. This year, the Disney ecosystem shone thanks to its streaming services and television channels. It is all about FX (Fox Extended Network) to whom the company owes the most awards with an impressive total number 36 Price. Most of the prizes went to The bearbut above all to Shogunwhich beat the competition with four trophies, including Best Drama Series, and 14 “technical” Emmy Awards. Hulu, ABC and especially Disney+ are also under the same banner, bringing the total rewards to 57, an unprecedented number!
Of the competition, only Netflix stands out with 24 awards, mainly thanks to the dramatic miniseries My little reindeer and the true story of its director Richard Gadd. Apple TV+ also stands out with 10 awards, underlining its rise in the streaming sector, even if the absence of Ted Lasso is felt for the platform. For Amazon, on the other hand, there is not much to see. No series stood out, not even Stand out.
