Evil Dead: The Game was delayed again.
Originally slated for release last year, Boss Team Games pushed it back to February 2022 to polish it up a bit and make sure it’s the “ultimate Evil Dead experience” we’ve been waiting for.
Now the game Moved to May 13 For the same reason, as the studio says, it needs more time to deliver the best experience. In other words, it has to be “fashionable as hell”.
Co-op and PvP multiplayer action, announced at The Game Awards in December 2020, will also feature single-player options. Based on the Evil Dead franchise and characters, the game pits players against the forces of evil unleashed from Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, with visuals and sounds inspired by the movies and the Ash vs Evil Dead TV series.
In it, you’ll work as a team of four survivors selected from numerous characters from the series and the film. These include Ash, Kelly Maxwell, Pablo Simon Bolivar, Scotty, Lord Arthur, Cheryl Williams, Henry the Red, and more, with the main goal of fighting the Grim Reaper and banishing the Kandarian demons.
Alternatively, you can become a demon yourself, using your possessed abilities to stop survivors and devour their souls.
With over 25 weapons at your disposal, including Ash’s Gauntlet, Boomstick, and Chainsaw, you’ll be able to upgrade various skill trees to become more powerful in order to survive the night.
Expected to hit PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in February, with new videos, more news and pre-orders.
