The release of Evil Dead: The Game is also not under a good star. The release date had to be postponed again.
Actually, the game implementation of Evil Dead should have been available last year, but as is well known, nothing came of it. Boss Team Games had already postponed the release to February 2022 to have more time for additional fine-tuning and to ensure overall quality – but that’s not working now either.
As the studio has now officially communicated, they are treating themselves to several months of additional development time. At least one exact day was given as the new release date: May 13, 2022 should be the time. Over time, you want to be able to deliver the “best possible gaming experience”.
As a result, the horror adventure is now funnily enough to be available on Friday the 13th. The developer studio would also like to thank the fans for their patience and understanding.
Evil Dead: The Game is a co-op and PvP multiplayer action game, but will also have a single player option. The title was announced at the Game Awards in December 2020 and is based on the Evil Dead franchise, so it will feature well-known characters from it. Locations and sounds will also be inspired by the movies and TV series Ash vs. Evil Dead.
A team of four survivors, chosen from a variety of characters from the series and films, must fight the Deadites and banish the Kandarian Demon. Among others you can fall back on Ash, Kelly Maxwell, Pablo Simon Bolivar, Scotty, Lord Arthur, Cheryl Williams or Henry the Red. Alternatively, you can become a demon yourself and compete against the survivors.
