This year's EVO Championship will be held online on five weekends.
EVO organizers revealed a new online-only version of the long-running event. EVO Online is a five-week tournament with its own game roster and many games from the original lineup.
The biggest exception is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which may be cancelled due to poor network codes. "Street Fighter 5", "Tekken 7", "Soul Sword 6", "Dragon Ball Fighter Z", "Samurai General", "Night Born" and "Grand Blue Fantasy Battle" are all retained.
EVO Online also hosts open competitions for four other games that failed to advance. These people are Mortal Kombat 11, Killer Instinct, their fighting group and Skullgirls: Second Encore.
Detailed information on how to register is coming soon. Currently, this is the initial timetable:
- July 4-5.
- July 11-12.
- July 18-19.
- July 25-26.
- From July 31 to August 2.
