The MMO League of Legends is once again being talked about in ways we didn't necessarily expect, but it's excellent news.
Riot Games and League of Legends are on the rise thanks to the series Arcanea real hit on Netflix. While Season 2 just ended with a grand finale that promises big things for the future. In addition, we will explain the ending and all the secrets to you in a separate article. But this time it is about one of the most anticipated video games in the LoL series, which the series co-creator Christian Linke has spoken about again. For what ? That's exactly what's great.
The League of Legends universe is growing
We now know that Riot Games is aiming to create a gigantic connected universe that mixes video games and series (maybe even movies? You never know). A gigantic project that requires perfect synchronization to ensure maximum coherence. During Christian Linke's appearance on the Necrit94 stream, after the mention of Arcane, future projects… but not only that. That was also clarified “Only a select few” had control over the lore of League of Legends and ensured the consistency of the whole thing. No leaks or possible inconsistencies with what is being built little by little.
The MMO will ultimately be the vast, most tangible creative vision of this universe that we ultimately know little about. Over the years, Riot Games has built its world and even created one Interactive map from Runeterra. Ideas, advocates and stories have always been closely linked. So far there has been a bit of a lack of coherence and structure that comes with Arcane and the entire series on the one hand and the highly anticipated MMO on the other.
Good news for the highly anticipated MMO
The MMO League of Legends is in full development and Riot warned us from the start that it would take a long time. Recently it even started from scratch. Things have evolved since then. If Arcane wasn't supposed to be canon, but the first season's excellent reception completely changed that. Now all projects are one. So Christian Linke revealed that The massively multiplayer game teams and the series teams have been working together for quite some time. Collaborate closely to ensure everything is coherent and ideas don't conflict. This teamwork would have had a significant impact on the narrative decisions ofArcane, but also on those of the MMO.
And that's it excellent news for the MMO League of Legends. If we don't yet have what the developers have prepared, we could all see to what extent The teams behind the series are extremely talented. In just two seasons Arcane hit very hard. Knowing that everyone is working together is therefore extremely reassuring for the future of the MMO. Even if we ultimately know nothing. We hold on to what we can while we wait to get some really good food.
League of Legends is expandingeven if Riot Games has closed the floodgates of its ideas lab to focus on larger and more important projects. We've already had the right to a few small titles here and there and the free fighting game 2XKO is coming soon. The future big game therefore remains this ambitious MMO, which is eagerly awaited by fans of the franchise, some of whom have been dreaming of it for many years.
