Medieval Dynasty – The developer diary also has numerous gameplay impressions ready
Medieval Dynasty actually looks like Kingdom Come at first glance. The genre mix of role-playing, building strategy and survival wants to bring the gloomy Middle Ages to life with a pretty look.
In a new video series, the developers of Studio Render Cube are now showing their titles in bits. The first part of the developer diary has now been released published exclusively here on GameStar and shows lots of new gameplay scenes from the medieval game. The complete video can be found directly above this message.
What can you see in the video?
The new gameplay scenes basically show all the important aspects of Medieval Dynasty. You experience the life of a simple man in the Middle Ages who has to earn a living hard. How he does it is relatively open to us. We can hunt deer, for example, but we can also breed pigs or cultivate fields.
It is only important that we are prepared as soon as winter arrives. When the snow falls, we should have ample supplies. But the other seasons are also wonderfully animated and offer various challenges. We also have to take care of a shelter and therefore build houses out of the first person. This mechanic can already be seen in the gameplay.
If you want to know what Medieval Dynasty is and how it plays, take a look at our large plus preview. We were able to play in an early version for over 60 minutes in March and have packed our impressions and allusion into one article for you:

Medieval Dynasty is not a clone of Kingdom Come
Who are the developers?
As announced in the video, the developers of Medieval Dynasty want to bring the world they know to the Middle Ages. Unlike Kingdom Come, however, you did not choose a specific country. Their homeland of Poland serves as a template, but Medieval Dynasty could also take place in any other Eastern or Central European region.
The studio is called Render Cube and is not that old yet. So far, the developers have only completed one game and this is a colorful Mario Kart clone called Monster League. But even here it could already be seen that Render Cube attaches great importance to high-quality optics with sharp textures and atmospheric lighting effects.
The studio is based in Lodz and consists of a total of 15 people, to which a few freelancers join. Even if the studio itself is not very old, the developers have a lot of experience. Some of them were already involved in the development of the Witcher series.
What's next with Medieval Dynasty?
Work on Medieval Dynasty is in full swing. The developers are currently collecting feedback and will probably continue to do so for quite a while. At the end of the year, Medival Dynasty is due to be released as an early access version on Steam.
Based on this first-hand feedback, the title should then be further improved. A full release would not be possible until 2021 at the earliest, but there is no specific date.
