The Fable series is primarily known for successful role-playing games, but with Fable Fortune there is also a card game offshoot. The days are now numbered.

Lionhead veterans ventured a new implementation of the franchise known for role-playing games with Fable Fortune in 2018, but apparently were not rewarded to the desired extent. The assumption comes from the fact that the game is now finally discontinued.
On the official website, the makers have now announced that the servers for the game will be taken offline in March. After more than two years and 30 seasons, on March 4, 2020, Fable Fortune is finally over and the plug is pulled.
To prepare for the closure, the in-game store has already been deactivated and no further purchases of card packs are permitted. If you still find unopened packs of cards in your inventory, you can still open them until the game is finally closed.
The Fable-based card game was released in 2018 for PC and Xbox One. Lionhead Studios had started to implement the project, and Flaming Fowl Studios took over the project after it closed in 2016. Additional funds were acquired via Kickstarter to complete the project.
