Fall Guys, the wildly successful family-friendly battle royale game of 2020, will be free to play on June 21st. While this is big news for the game itself, the folks at Mediatonic have also announced that the game is coming to Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and the Epic Games Store as well as a free version.
If you’re a PlayStation player and feel a little left out, don’t worry! The PS5 version will also be released alongside the others. If your friends are spread across different platforms, you’ll be able to fight alongside them as cross-play and cross-progress will be included in all of the above.
Those who purchased Fall Guys before June 21, or have been a huge fan of the game since its release, will receive a free legacy pack that includes the following cosmetics:
- a nickname,
- nameplate
- imperial attire
- Veggie Dog Costume
- Lively Dwarf Costume
- Season 1 Season Pass!
The first season will launch free-to-play in June, which will bring new costumes and challenges to the game. In addition to this, a premium version of the Battle Pass can also be purchased, which will allow players to obtain additional cosmetic items. There are 100 levels in this pass, and those who reach the highest level will be able to get the next seasonal pass, which will certainly be tempting for die-hard Fall Guys players.
The game also offers pre-registration for those looking to play on these new platforms. The team at Mediatonic has set pre-registration goals that the community needs to meet in order to receive additional rewards. This includes another nameplate, additional honor (in-game currency), a hamburger pattern for your bean, a muscular man emoji, and a melon head costume.
All in all, this is great news for Fall Guys players, who should now have a larger community to play with, as well as a host of new rewards for their support since the game first went offline in August 2020. The game is still great By the way, a ton of new content has been added since the game’s popularity peaked. If you haven’t played it, or haven’t considered launching it in a while, then mark June 21st on your calendar.
