Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has long since left the big hype on Twitch behind, but the cute Battle Royale still has exciting plans. Two major changes are imminent: the game will become Free2Play and will move from Steam to the Epic Games Store. We explain what exactly that means and whether Steam players are at a disadvantage as a result.
Free2Play transition in June
Fall Guys is currently $20 on Steam. From June 21, 2022 you can play it for free, as it moves to a Free2Play model. On this date, Season 1: Free For All will be unlocked along with the matching Battle Pass, which you can pay for with purchased in-game currency. There will also continue to be some free unlockable content.
Players who have purchased Fall Guys will get the first Season Pass for free and a Legacy Pack of cosmetic content on top of it.

Moving to the Epic Games Store
Also from June 21, 2022 Fall Guys disappears from the Steam Store. From this point on, you will no longer be able to buy it there! The reason for this is that the game is moving to Epic and will be available there as a PC exclusive from that day. You can transfer your save to your Epic account.
Steam players can still continue as usual: Fall Guys does not disappear from your library because of this, you can start it there normally and rush through parkour with all the other beans, no matter what platform they are on. Developer Mediatonic also promises that the Steam version will continue to be supplied with all updates, seasons and patches.

New console versions and crossplay
The third change on June 21st is more console versions that will be released on that day: Fall Guys will also be available for Nintendo Switch and Xbox, as well as a version for PlayStation 5. It is therefore available on the following platforms, between which too Cross-Play und Cross-Progression possible are:
