Bethesda has announced new content in Fallout 76 for 2025 – and then you can finally wreak havoc in the wasteland as a ghoul.
The Amazon Fallout series hit like a bomb and was completely convincing. One of the most popular characters in the adaptation of the Ghoul Cooper Howard, who proved to be so popular that Bethesda is now adding it to the video game Fallout 76.
The next new content will be available in the game at the beginning of 2025 and for the first time the development team will officially let you compete as a ghoul in the game world. This is more than just a change in the face; Rather, the gameplay is turned upside down.
As a ghoul, you can move through the wasteland without having to worry about radiation exposure; Food and water will then no longer have any relevance to you. Quite the opposite: radiation exposure is good for the ghoul, but other means must ensure its survival. Instead of food and water, you will need a good portion of chemicals in order not to go completely wild. If you do that, it will be a problem for your opponents, as you become a bit of a fighting machine. At the same time, this limits travel and trading options.
Certain factions such as the Brotherhood of Steel immediately open fire on ghouls – a factor that also needs to be taken into account in the wasteland. There you will also be able to access all sorts of Ghoul-specific perks.
Far from the Ghoul integration, the next update will add the raid “Gleaming Depths” early next year, in which you have to investigate an underground research laboratory in the Ash Heap region. This laboratory also has a dark past, which is why you have to deal with all sorts of bloodthirsty creatures there.
Last but not least, the update will also bring with it the option to keep a cat or dog in CAMP – complete with special furnishings, outfits and toys for the animal companions.
