With "Wastelanders" Fallout 76, which was started with a lot of difficulties and is sometimes heavily criticized, gets its biggest expansion to date. After this was delayed by a few months and was no longer published in 2019, there is now finally a concrete release date.
As Bethesda confirmed in a press release, "Wastelanders" will be available on April 7, 2020 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. From this point on, fully voiced NPCs will move into Appalachia and bring the game world to new life. In the course of this, you will get a completely new main quest at hand, may forge alliances and maintain your reputation with rival factions.
You can tackle the mentioned quest alone or with friends; the original main quest has also been revised. The tasks are available as soon as you leave Vault 76. You can then go on new missions and even discover new locations. In addition to the AI-based human characters, you can also expect new creatures and equipment, and the decisions made in the context of the dialogs have direct consequences via the new call system.
