Fallout 76 NPCs will no longer steal weapons from players who die after this annoying bug has been corrected

annoying, bug, corrected, Die, Fallout, longer, NPCs, players, Steal, Weapons

The Wastelanders expansion of Fallout 76 It has been the best thing that has happened to the Bethesda title lately. Among all the novelties that were introduced, it stood out above all the addition of NPCs in the game, something that was initially welcomed with open arms, until some players realized the misdeeds they were capable of committing.

Days ago we already told you that there was a mistake that caused that if any NPC controlled by artificial intelligence was close to us at the moment that our character died, it would be believed with the right to power steal our best weapons and keep them forever. A real nuisance for those with legendary or very special weapons.

Naturally this curious case (and so annoying) has never been intentional. Luckily it should not happen again, because Bethesda has posted a notice of what has been achieved hit the bug and make sure you have corrected it:

We just released an update for Fallout 76 regarding a rare issue where NPCs could grab items from a dead player under certain circumstances. We didn't need to disconnect the game to do this and the update has already been applied on all worlds.

However, Bethesda has not mentioned anything about what will happen to the players who have been affected for this failure. Thus, at the moment it is unknown if these users will receive the weapons they have lost or on the contrary they will have to say goodbye to them forever. What is clear is that, seen what has been seen, the most recommended is that nobody carry something very valuable with them until it is fully guaranteed that this error is no longer present.
