Born originally from the studio Black Isle Studio In October 1997, the Fallout franchise was born with a first opus on PC. It is taken over by the studios of bethesda 2008 with the release of a third episode. The mythical saga continues its journey around six major titles, the last of which was Fallout 76 released in November 2018. This latest work is drawing ink as it is sadly not unanimous among the general public. As a prequel to the series, Fallout still remains a cult saga in the video game world.
as a reminder Fallout is an action RPG video game set in a post-apocalyptic universe historically different from ours. It is about the world of tomorrow as seen in the 1950s after the events of a global nuclear war. The player must survive in a confusing world surrounded by mutated monsters. The first Fallout opus will be PC and Mac only content. We will therefore have to wait until 2004 for the RPG to finally arrive on consoles with the release of Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel and on all platforms with Fallout 3 in 2008.
A suite?
The continuation of the saga will come to fruition with Fallout 5, which has just been confirmed as a work in progress. The sequel will be based on Fallout years after the fourth episode. At the moment there is no information given for the imminent arrival of this Fallout 5. Bethesda director and producer Todd Howard has admitted that the priority would be the game Starfield, a great RPG planned for 2023, but also The Elder Scrolls VI, which is still under construction and in his opinion that will not happen for a long time.
