Following the success of the Fallout series on Amazon Prime Video, the cult RPG franchise is preparing the return of another genre with the support of one of the biggest video game licenses.
We have to make up our minds, Fallout 5 will not see the light of day anytime soon. Todd Howard, Bethesda’s long-time producer, would like to speed up the process, but it won’t happen in a jiffy. And we must also remember that the company has a small, nondescript project called The Elder Scrolls 6. To prevent the saga from gathering dust during this time, the publisher has agreed to a collaboration with Fortnite that is difficult to predict. But after all, Epic Games’ battle royale has seen others come and go.
An unexpected return of Fallout
The Fallout series has been instrumental in reviving game sales and general interest in Bethesda’s franchise. Before, during, and after its release, players have returned to or discovered this post-apocalyptic universe that so many people dream of. Even the makers of Fortnite. And the RPG’s visit to Epic Games’ battle royale is obviously just the beginning of projects of this kind. While browsing the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Season 4 files, artwork and videos for a “Tracer Pack: Fallout Vault Dweller” DLC have been discovered. It may seem surprising, but it’s not fake.
Fallout will have its skin pack in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. What can we expect from this collaboration? What we see in the image found by the dataminers, namely cosmetics for the M4 and M16 weapons, but also outfits for the emblematic operators of the game, Gaz, Ghost, Soap and Captain Price, will be dressed in a blue and gold Vault jumpsuit. But it will still be possible to keep the Call of Duty style with Ghost’s face scarf or Price’s hat. When is the Fallout X MW3 crossover coming? There is no date because it is not yet an official announcement, but it will be during season four. This is the only certainty we have after this first big leak.
