Amazon has not only been working on a series about Mass Effect, but also about post-apocalyptic fallout for a few weeks. On that front, there’s another new addition to the cast.
The plans for the Fallout TV series are apparently being pushed ahead in big steps by Amazon. As the well-known entertainment magazine Deadline now reports, a leading actress has now been won for the format. Walton Goggins, the first actor for the series, had previously been confirmed in February.
Goggins is now joined by Elle Purnell, who appears to be playing a character named Jean in the series based on the Bethesda franchise. The protagonist is described as a young woman with a dangerous secret.
For series fans with a penchant for gaming, Purnell is no stranger, because last year she lent her voice to the main character Jinx in the extremely successful Netflix animation series “Arcane” based on League of Legends. While only her voice could be heard here in the English-language original, she was also seen as an actress in the successful horror series “Yellowjackets” and alongside Dave Bautista in “Army of the Dead”.
Details about the plot of the series are still scarce, also because it is still in an early planning and production stage. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy will serve as executive producers. Nolan, who is instrumental in Westworld, will also direct the first episode of the Fallout series.
