Rogue One meets war drama: This is how the impressive fan project »My Enemy« by Loacher Films can be described. The video deals with the well-known war between rebels and empire, but from an unusual perspective.
Impressive fan project
The main role is played by a young stormtrooper. The short film clearly shows what is often hidden in the official Star Wars canon: under the white helmets are real people with their own thoughts and feelings. »My Enemy« addresses questions that many fans have been asking themselves for a long time:
- Was it morally justified to blow up the Death Star with hundreds of thousands on board?
- How do ordinary Imperial soldiers feel about the destruction of Alderaan?
- What drives someone to join the stormtroopers?

Not the only Loacher project: On the YouTube channel of Loacher Films you can find other clips and short films that are based on Unreal Engine 4 and look pretty chic. They don’t quite get to them graphically cinematic trailer for The Old Republic approach, but are still impressively well done. And of course there is a much smaller team behind Loacher.

What else Disney is planning for Star Wars
Many fans would have wished for a complex stormtrooper story from the sequels, which also contained corresponding approaches with the character of Finn. The story then took a different course, in which his past only played a subordinate role with the stormtroopers.
