Housing in survival games radiate safety, security, protection. The abandoned shacks that players recently found in the Sons of the Forest game world are quite different.
Fans are currently busy discussing what the locations are all about, what horrifying secrets they hold and whether they might even give clues to the future of the game.
Our author André Baumgartner has already found the mysterious huts, and has done so several times. We can therefore show you a few images that give vague clues as to their meaning. And we list what other players think about it.

One person shared their find on Reddit and notes that the huts currently offer little added value. Therefore, she speculates that they could become the setting for new story elements in a future update. The first big update is brand new right now.

Over 90 users comment on what they think of the huts. For example, some found various crossbow bolts there, which are relatively rare to find in Sons of the Forest and cannot be produced with a 3D printer.
Another person believes that these are fisherman’s huts, which sounds plausible given the various fishing nets hanging inside. Another user would be happy if a rod could be found in such a hut in the future.
Still others are convinced that these are buildings that belong to golf courses. However, the clear indications of fishing operations speak against this.

What the heck is going on?
The huts seem to have something to do with the horrible mutants that have caused a lot of horror since the predecessor The Forest. The pictures above also show you the location on the map.
