you may have played Clint Hawking: He is a big name in the game and has been involved in some big games UbisoftHistory. The Canadian video game designer and director wrote Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and Far Cry 2.He is also the creative director of Watch Dogs Corps and will be working with Jonathan Dumont on the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Unlimited..

Back in 2007 he also coined the term “ludonarrative dissonance” so you have him to thank.

Why take a history class? Well, at Ubisoft Forward, the French publisher noted that Hawking will lead a brand new game in the Assassin’s Creed universe: Codename Hex. The trailer basically makes it look like Assassin’s Creed: Blair Witch – with deep dark woods, a spooky wooden Assassin’s Creed symbol, and a mysterious promise.

According to Ubisoft, this is “a very different kind of Assassin’s Creed game” that will run alongside other mainline projects in development, namely Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Assassin’s Creed: Code Red.

Ubisoft notes that the short trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Code Hex is “full of secrets” – so you might want to take the pause button out and start combing through the trailer to see what you can find.

There isn’t much official information about the game yet, but there are some rumors that the game will take place in 16th century Europe, when the continent was in the grip of the infamous witch hunt. Does that mean you’ll be playing the witch assassin? Or will you hunt down people with magical powers?

That remains to be seen – just don’t expect this game to appear anytime soon. A breakdown of what’s going on in the Assassin’s Creed series later in the stream, seen in advance at iGamesNews: We’ve got an expansion for Valhalla in 2022, then an expansion for Mirage in 2023, followed by Codename Hexe And Codename Jade, and then Codename Red and the Netflix series in the works. We probably won’t see the game until at least 2024 — if not later.

Little information is currently available on Codename Hexe, but it may be in development for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
