With Far Cry 6, Ubisoft recently released the latest part of the long-standing shooter series. If you are more interested in how the game came about, you can now watch a large documentary.
Ubisoft has now published a behind-the-scenes documentary that gives a glimpse behind the scenes of the creation of Far Cry 6. The good piece is called “Entitled Revolución: A Far Cry Story” and is a whopping 38 minutes.
During this time you will be taken into the hallowed halls of Ubisoft Toronto. There developers have their say in interviews and you get to hear some anecdotes from the key characters behind the actual game. For example, Narrative Director Navid Khavari also comments on the setting.
Personal stories of the developers are not neglected in the documentary either. The career of actor Giancarlo Esposito as Anton Castillo is also dealt with. And: The influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, which in the meantime turned the production of the shooter into real chaos, is not neglected.
Regarding the release of the documentary, the aforementioned Navid Khavari says: “To finish such a big game for millions of people all over the world is always exciting. However, at the beginning of the development phase we had no idea that we would finish a game in the middle of a global pandemic. It just changed everything. We started development in a state-of-the-art studio and later found ourselves faced with unique problems in our own four walls that we would never have expected at first. Looking back, it was great to see the entire team despite the physical distance came together for an absolute heart project. “
Far Cry 6 is available for Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. You can see the documentation here.
