Developer GIANTS Software is continuing to work on Farming Simulator 22 and is releasing a new eSports update today that brings fresh competitive game content with it.
As the professional Farming Simulator League FSL prepares for its fifth season, developer GIANTS Software releases a new eSports update for Farming Simulator 22. This expands the multiplayer component of the game with new multiplayer modes. As part of Patch 1.10, Bale Stacking and Arena Mode are now available on PC and Consoles.
Bale stacking is now also playable at home with up to six players. The aim is to stack cuboid bales of straw on a trailer while the ticking clock exerts the same pressure as the baling press itself. The player with the highest high score wins a game that can be started via the eSports entry in the main menu.
The arena mode, however, is already known from the FSL and is now accessible to everyone; registration for the international eSports league is not necessary. Two teams, each consisting of up to three players, compete for the high score by harvesting wheat, baling it and delivering it to the barn. A pick & ban phase, random power-ups and scope for various strategic approaches are intended to provide additional tactical challenges. A training mode should also make it easier for smaller teams and individual players to try out the game.
With the launch of the competitive multiplayer modes, the eSports league is also changing from the previous standalone client to Farming Simulator 22. Season 5 begins as part of FarmCon 23, which takes place on July 1st and 2nd in Lauingen. With HELM AG there is also a new main sponsor; the total prize pool this time is 200,000 dollars.
