Marvel has released a new trailer for Deadpool vs. Wolverine, and by the looks of it, more than one mercenary is expected to make an appearance.
It’s no secret that the upcoming third Deadpool movie will be a multi-universe story, as the whole concept is that the Time Variance Authority is a secret organization trying to keep everything in one timeline, and it needs Wade Wilson to save the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For some reason, he also had to bring in fan-favorite Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, the character’s final appearance (and the first appearance of the iconic yellow suit), but it seems like the movie will also pull in several characters from various Marvel universes.

We already know that characters from Fox’s Marvel movies like Pyro, Sabretooth, and even Jennifer Garner’s Elektra will appear in the movie, but the latest trailer (pictured above) shows that there will be quite a few Deadpools in the movie, which may annoy Wolverine. The two characters that stand out most in the trailer are Lady Deadpool, a gender-swapped version of the character who has appeared a few times in the comics, and Cowboy Deadpool, who also exists in the comics, where he is known as Deadpool Kid. Several other Deadpools can also be seen in the background (I take a picture every time I write about Deadpool), but it’s not clear how different they will be.

Recently, both Reynolds and Jackman were asked about the possibility of them appearing in future Avengers films, although both of them were fairly cagey about it and didn’t actually confirm or deny their chances.
The release of the movie is not far away and it will hit the theaters next week, on July 26.
