Game News FF 7 Rebirth: “It’s night and day,” this PS5 exclusive is the best selling point for the PS5 Pro
If the PS5 Pro will bring a large number of games to the Playstation catalog, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is certainly the best representative of this new console.
The best version of FFVII Rebirth
Sony has finally formalized the imminent release of the PS5 Pro, a machine faithful to the commercial strategy of the major manufacturers in the video game industry, which arrives in the middle of the life of the current generation and aims to offer players a performance gain more or less important compared to current PS5 models.
In fact, Sony’s main selling point is the significant improvement in the graphics of the various games in the PS5 catalog. And when this topic is discussed at the moment, certain titles stand out more than others because the graphics have reached such a level that it becomes difficult to see a real difference. This is especially the case with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, a software that was already solid when it was released on PS5 and yet takes full advantage of the increase in performance of the PS Pro, as noted by Digital Foundry member John Linneman.
Wow, yes, FF7R looks MUCH better on the PS5 Pro. Night and day difference. I actually put off playing it because of other things happening at the time of release, but the Pro will finally make me enjoy it. The picture quality was just too bad on the regular PS5. pic.twitter.com/yVuL0wG5Nu

Wow, yes, FF7R looks much better on PS5 Pro. It’s night and day. I stopped playing when it came out for other reasons, but with the Pro I can finally enjoy it. The playback quality was way too bad on PS5.
A performance gain that is controversial
According to him, John Linneman was not a big fan of FF7 Rebirth’s graphics at the time of its release. An opinion that not all players will necessarily agree with, but which has already been discussed in the community, as noted in particular by journalist Gene Park in the comments to John Linneman’s post.
And beyond this criticism, we must admit that the screenshots shared by the journalist show a clear improvement in playback quality. Which is not necessarily the case with the games that Sony presented when announcing the PS5 Pro. Since the presentation of the console, many gamers have expressed their dissatisfaction with the final result, especially when it comes to the giant’s main argument to justify the high price of this new console. As a reminder, the PS5 Pro will be sold for around 800 dollars at launch without a reader. Count on just under 1000 dollars for the investment in the console and an external player. A considerable sum for most consumers.
