Despite several rumors and leaks that indicate the opposite, FF9 remake 9 would be in danger? Square Enix would have made radical decisions in any case.
In his latest financial report, which marked the end of his fiscal year 2025, Square Enix said a lot of interesting information. We therefore learn that sales would have decreased despite an assumed strategy that operated the multi -platform. The Japanese giant would have made a “three -year restart plan” for improving its long -term growth. This therefore implies radical measures and affects many development titles, including FF9 remake.
The development of FF9 remake affected, but not panic in panic
As part of this famous restart plan, it is unfortunately not worth that the important titles published by Square Enix are published this year or not before 2027-2028. The publisher wants to give developers the time to get out of important and well -refined big games. Among them we can count from Kingdom Hearts 4, FF7 Remake 3 and FF9 remake, which we are interested in here. In this interval, only from small remakes or remasters and smaller games should come out, like the series of the HD-2D remakes of the first two dragon battles.
That is why we also learn that square enix would have Canceled many securities in production Stay with this new growth plan for over three years. We are particularly thinking about the cancellation of the Kingdom Hearts mobile phone game, among other things that are currently being guarded. If we think they are Apzonerner at Resetera, a colleague from VG247, we should not take care of the fate of the FF9 remakes as one of the games of these cancellations.
Square Enix is obviously aware of the aura about the ninth original opus of her flagship franchise and the great expectations of the community of their remake. Unfortunately, this special status brings him to the category of the most important titles of the three -year new start plan. So we shouldn't expect to see FF9 covers before 2027 or 2028Square Enix has spread the two since the 2028 financial year.
