Anyone who wants to play FIFA 22 on PC could now look with envy at the new PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles. EA offers an advantage on these platforms.
- Next-gen improvements are denied to all PC gamers.
- Only PS5, Xbox Series X / S, and Stadia players will have access to the enhancements.
October 1st The 27th game in the FIFA series is released. But not all of them can rely on the next-gen hypermotion technology from FIFA 22 looking forward.
The new Hypermotion technology includes a combination of motion capture and an algorithm that uses 8.7 million frames from game capturing to develop new animations in real time.
After the disappointment that the Next-gen upgrade only included in the Ultimate Edition and owners of the Standard Edition have to pay an extra charge for the next-gen option, the next bad news comes. This time it is aimed at all PC gamers, because EA treats the PC no differently than the last-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One. Hypermotion will not exist on these platforms.
This means that PC gamers will not be able to benefit from the next-gen improvements that gamers are getting PS5, Xbox Series X/S or over Stadia receive.
The reason the PC is treated similarly to the last-gen consoles is because if the PC version of FIFA 22 also offered Hypermotion technology, the gaming requirements for the game would increase.
The increased game requirements could mean that individual players cannot play FIFA 22. So that individual PC players are not excluded or have to upgrade their PC, EA has decided that the PC version is more based on the last-gen console version, like the computer game magazine PC Gamer reported.
