Even if EA’s FIFA story is slowly but surely coming to an end, there is now one last major new content in the current part FIFA 23 – after all, the Women’s World Cup is just around the corner.
The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 in Australia and New Zealand provides one last major content update for FIFA 23, because Electronic Arts is of course also giving the current football title a special update with various in-game modes.
In Lead Your Country mode, you can make your way through the Women’s World Cup tournament and compete for the coveted trophy with a star player or a custom avatar. During the tournament rounds, you have the choice of controlling just one player or your country.
There is also the solo tournament mode, which lets you authentically replay the women’s world championship tournament. You can choose from all 32 qualifying nations, with which you have to survive the group phase in order to then pave your way through the knockout phase up to the world championship title.
Finally, in Kick-off mode, you can play against local friends or against the AI, depending on your preference, and play a group stage or knockout match choosing between two of the 32 qualifying countries. All in all, including the 32 qualified nations, special stadium decorations, cinematics, game presentations, specific comments and of course the trophy itself, the most authentic gaming experience around a women’s World Cup in a video game should be created.
