Goals that are not counted, football fans have had to struggle with them for decades. The problem is actually less common in FIFA 20 because the game can detect more precisely than any goal line technique whether a ball is behind the line or not. The example of FIFA professional Guiseppa Guastella shows that there can still be annoying goal decisions.
Because Guastella has now flown out of qualifying for the FIFA 20 Champions Cup in North America, although his final shot on the penalty shootout landed clearly on the net. Guastella shared a video of the misery via Twitter and you can clearly see that the ball bounces off the post and goes over the line. FIFA 20 apparently saw it differently:
This is unbelievable from?@EASPORTSFIFA? I'm out of the North American qualifiers because of this. pic.twitter.com/RQtSx3hQ98

Guastella itself is a very experienced playerwho competes for the e-sports team of the American first division club LA Galaxy. As a result, he is extremely upset that such a stupid bug prevents him from progressing.
"I'm a very passionate player and I always do my best in this game! But how can anyone take this game seriously if EA doesn't take it seriously and doesn't fix these basic mistakes?"
What exacerbated the whole situation were the local officials. Guastella complains about the admins sticking to the exit determined by the game and no repetition of the shot allowed
Even more problems at FIFA tournaments
In his writing, Guastella not only refers to the obvious bug that prevented him from progressing. In FIFA 20, problems have occurred more frequently during such esports tournaments in the past few weeks.
So there were often serious connection problems during the qualification. So players weren't able to find their opponent online. The two professionals Shaun Galea and Hasan Eker were therefore forced to decide whether to win or lose with the help of a no-frills.
