Square Enix announces the game’s release date Final Fantasy 14 Online expansion, road to dawn.
The game will go live on July 2, with pre-orders starting on March 26, and will include three days of early access starting on June 28. Rewards for pre-ordering and claiming the Collector’s Edition have been announced and are themed to Final Fantasy IX.
One of the pre-order bonuses is the Clockwork Zidane Minion, a costume pet that is a smaller version of Zidane from Final Fantasy IX. The other is Azema’s Earrings, whose properties vary based on your profession/job and current level. They also increase experience points by 30% when defeating enemies below level 90, but can only be equipped by Disciples of War or Magic classes and professions.
Pre-ordering also provides early access to Dawntrail, which launches on June 28.

The standard version of the game is priced at $39.99 on all platforms, but there will also be a Collector’s Edition. The Collector’s Box is priced at $155 and includes the following physical items: Dawntrail special art box, meticulously crafted Viper figure, Adventurer’s Cloth Map, Endless Journey, and Adventurer’s Pen Case. Excludes Dawntrail copies, in-game bonus items and pre-order bonuses.
You can choose a digital collector’s edition for all platforms. Priced at $59.99, it comes with an Ark mount modeled after the animated eidolons from Final Fantasy IX, a wind-up Garnet minion pet, and a Chocobo brush that can be equipped by the Illusion Warlock.
There’s also Dawntrail – Collector’s Edition for Mac and PC. It includes everything included in the digital collector’s edition and the physical collector’s box, and is priced at $214.99.
In Final Fantasy XIV Online: Road to Dawn, you and your comrades are reunited on a mission when an unexpected petition calls you to the west, to the distant continent of Tular. The expansion brings a higher level cap, new classes, vast new areas, new allied tribes, new dungeons, and new core combat content such as Destiny, Hunting, Treasure Hunting, Side Quests, and more.
