Newest final fantasy 14 A letter from the producer has arrived detailing everything we can expect from the upcoming 6.4 patch “The Dark Throne”.

Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida is once again hosting the semi-regular Producer Letters, detailing what we can expect from the next patch. First, it’s dropping in “late May,” so it’s basically just a few months away. The patch will apparently continue the main scenario missions that will follow the Warrior of Light alongside Zero, and you can also expect more side stories and further missions to the Great Endeavor of Tartatu.

A new dungeon called The Aetherfront is being introduced, and initial images show an arctic-like area filled with polar bears. On the experimental side, this update adds Voidcast Dais, who will also have an extreme version and apparently features Golbez, one of Final Fantasy 4’s great villains. The Containment Bay Z1T9 from Heavensward is also being made into the next Unreal Trial for high-level players looking for a challenge.

For any new players who want to play the game solo without having to play online, this update also extends the quest support system to Stormblood dungeons. This system lets you tackle dungeons with NPC characters, which might take some of the pressure out of playing with other people where there’s more social anxiety between you.

The patch will also kick off Season 4 of the PVP series and Season 7 of Crystalline Conflict, with the Frontline PVP mode introducing some fresh UI elements to track scores and match times. In addition, there are other additions such as expanded ocean fishing to places like the Kugane and Ruby Sea, the ability to place outdoor furniture in your Island Sanctuary Hideaway, and more levels and views are being added to the Island Sanctuary.

Blue mages will also be able to reach level 80 when patch 6.46 arrives, and new spells and unique gear are planned, along with other class adjustments.

Final Fantasy 14 Patch 6.4 will be released this May.
