The wait will be unbearable, but rest assured: Final Fantasy XVI is about to be released to the market. In the meantime, this nice advertising stunt by Square-Enix has been a topic of conversation.

It’s not every day that a new Final Fantasy installment comes out, and every time it’s the same story: everyone’s terribly excited, and rightly so. The Square Enix franchise is one of the most famous sagas in the world and has been instrumental in democratizing video games themselves.

In short, FF16 is about to be released in a few days and the Japanese publisher just pulled off a rather unique communication stunt: The sword of Clive (the game’s protagonist) has been faithfully recreated… and is currently on display at the Tower of London.

a little more precise, Square-Enix has partnered with Royal Armories, the famous British museum of arms and armor. This takes place in the legendary White Tower in the English capital, where the sword of Final Fantasy XVI will therefore appear for a month.
